Workflows for digital creatives, combining packages, profiles and configurations for various use cases.
Midi LFO Modulations

Overview
Bring your sounds to life with 4LFO — a flexible modulation engine that adds four independent LFOs to any Synthesizer, Drum machine or any hardware or software. Shape, move, and evolve your parameters with instant hands-on control and five expressive waveforms.

Our workflow configurations are made for specific modules for the most convenient experience. The configurations can be adapted to other modules, once you get to know Grid in detail.

Expand your Synth
If you're looking to expand your Hardware capabilities with additional LFOs and want to assign them to any controllable values, you can achieve this using the EN16 modules. Example setup: LFO1 → Modulate the decay of your synth’s envelope - LFO2 → Add slow pitch modulation - LFO3 → Control oscillator 2 amount - LFO4 → Modulate delay time using Random (S&H)
Full LFO control
The first knob controls the Speed. The second adjusts the Amount, setting how deep the modulation goes. The third sets the Offset, and the last knob lets you select the waveform and toggle the LFO on or off.

More LFO
With this setup, you can easily expand your synth with extra LFOs, unlocking precise, expressive modulation and richer sound design possibilities.
Adjust the setup to your workflow
In our workflow demonstrations, we focus on efficient showcases of key features. We are well aware of the fact, that there is hard to find a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to creative processes. All profiles, which are used in workflows can be changed and further customized. In most cases, the profile descriptions in the Editor software can be followed for quick configurations or use parts of the config to build out your truly own workflow.
Below you can view the current description of the profiles featured in this workflow.
4LFO Profile
The 4LFO profile provides four independent Low-Frequency Oscillators (LFOs), each capable of sending continuous modulation data via MIDI.
You can control Shape, Amount, Speed, and Offset for each LFO, with five available waveform types:
Sine, Square, Saw, Reverse Saw, and Random (Sample & Hold).
Control Layout
Each row on the module corresponds to one LFO.
The four encoders in each row control the following parameters:
- Speed – Adjusts the LFO rate.
- Press: Resets speed to 50%
- Amount – Sets the modulation depth.
- Press: Resets amount to 100%
- Offset – Shifts the modulation center point.
- Press: Resets offset to 0%
- Shape / Enable – Selects the waveform type.
- Press: Toggles MIDI output on/off for that LFO
Usage
This profile is ideal for connecting to any synthesizer that responds to MIDI modulation.
It instantly adds four extra LFO sources for creative modulation possibilities.
Example setup:
- LFO1 → Modulate the decay of your synth’s envelope
- LFO2 → Add slow pitch modulation
- LFO3 → Control oscillator 2 amount
- LFO4 → Modulate delay feedback using Random (S&H)
