VSN2 is a working prototype. The modular assembly and design of VSN1 makes it possible to build two screens in a single module, opening up interesting options for visual feedback and experimental GUI design.

We think that as a product it's not ready to be mass marketed, but for enthusiast users it offers great potential.

Screen refresh

The two screens require more processing power from the embedded processor. Drawing fast changes on both screens simultaneously results in a lower refresh rate. 

One possible workaround is to use one screen for busy and fast visualizations and the other for more static labeling.

Configuration through Lua

Addressing and drawing to the screen requires Lua coding in the Editor. The API is the same as for VSN1. 

The VSN2 is already visible in Editor as a unique module, addressing the second screen and the buttons underneath works as expected.

Profiles and presets need adaptation

Most of our own intechstudio and the community profiles are created for VSN1. To make them work with VSN2, they often require review and adjustments. 

The hardware itself is considered finished. Based on feedback from early adopters we can continue to improve VSN2 on the firmware level.

The Grid Editor enables a highly-customizable controlling solution through in-depth programmability in LUA code.

Multi-platform support

Compatible with Mac OS, Windows, Linux operating systems and mobile platforms. Grid supports USB native control options like MIDI, HID keyboard, mouse and game control.
