I really like the idea of smooth encoders, but its out of stock for now and “notify me” isn’t working, prompting me to sign in, even though I already did.
Is there any approximate date of availability known?
Same question for en16 with smooth encoders.
Btw, do smooth encoders have more resolution than detented ones? Soes it take the same rotation angle to change the value to the same amount on both smooth and detented?

We'll put all of the variant modules up for pre-orders after the fulfillment of the Kickstarter campaign ends, in a couple of weeks time.
We expect to have some stock of them before October ends.
Same resolution in the sense of digital resolution, but the feel could be a lot different when you start messing with the Mode of the smooth encoders.
DataGreed · Out of curiosity, is the resolution lower than on smooth encoders on ableton push? I have detent en16 and it feels like I have to rotate them A LOT to quickly change a parameter from minimum to maximum compared to encoders on push
narayb · That's not really a resolution problem I think.
narayb · We use a variable called velocity in the encoder mode action/function, and that drives how aggressively the encoder tracks quick turns.
narayb · I think, playing with the min/max, velocity and sensitivity values you should be able to find something that can match your desired workflow.
narayb · But the electrical parameters of the encoders both detent and smooth are the same. Twenty pulses per full rotation.
