What’s the plan for the version one modules? At what point will they stop receiving updates and how will you handle this with your editor? Will there be a legacy editor that is available to still work with older modules?

kkerti · We put a lot of engineering effort into keeping the D51 Atmel platform compatible with ESP variants, which started to ship in 2023 May. Since then, the two processor architecture were kept up-to-date together. We plan to continue do so in the foreseeable future and bring D51 compatible features and USB standard updates to D51 until they are active on the market. Same can be said for the Editor. (D51 in this case are the modules with logo on the front panel with 3D printed houses, in marketing terms "legacy".)
An other note for the beauty of open-source projects, that it can be picked up by third parties to continue the support if we were dropping it. But we do not plan to do that.
