Sensitivity issues with encoders in relative BinOffset mode

RandomDave · · 6 replies

If I have the encoders set to relative BinOffset mode on my EN16 or EF44 and I try to change the sensitivity level to anything other than 100, it completely renders the encoder useless and outputs very sporadic values. Changing the sensitivity of the endless knob on the VSN1 has no problems and works as expected. Am i doing something wrong? Does sensitivity not work for encoders?

Hey, thats looks like a bug, but if you use this self:encoder_value() in the midi block then it works again

If the sensitivity is too high, the encoder cannot be more precise physically, so it sends higher values in relative mode.

Thanks for the response! That doesn't seem to make a difference when I try it on my end though. I cleared the element, put that code in the parameter 2 box, and it still isn't outputting any value unless the sensitivity is set to 100

could you open the MIDI monitor and create a quick screen record please?

In the video, after i change the sensitivity to 50 or 90, i am twisting the encoder slowly and nothing is outputting. when i twist the knob quickly you can see it outputs a few random values, but they aren't the correct values and it is very sporadic

Hey, Thanks for let us know, we will fix it.

Until use 100 sensitivity and use the velocity adjustments.
