I'm trying to setup my new modules for Logic, but my studio computer is airgapped, and it looks there is little I can do without network connection. I feel dumb asking for help, but this wasn't clear when I purchased them. I was able to create an account using the web editor from my laptop, and now I can see the all profiles– is there a way I can export the ones I need from the browser and onto a USB stick? Then maybe I can upload them to my studio desktop editor that way?
Profiles for offline configuration?

@user local files are in Documents/grid-userdata , mentioned here: https://discord.com/channels/761513181696098335/1448437679753527418/1450048481728139325
Thank you- I found 3 zips in a temp folder, all named grid_release and holding two .uf2 files. Doesn't this have to do with upgrading the firmware though?
I'm grateful for the help. Still struggling to understand the network connectivity requirement though- could you confirm that the only way to setup my modules and customise them later on is through an internet-connected grid editor and access to the "Profile Cloud"?
no idea, I've been using this for a only week lol
yes, that would definitely be FW files
@user @user it seems like we're having similar frustrations. Just want to say hi and I hear you!
lol- thanks! I'm not sure I even need them since my modules are up to date?
So the profiles are just json files? That's encouraging at least!
hmm maybe it's because I pushed those two as profiles, have you saved yours?
uploaded, rather
I don't have anything is the problem- without connecting to the internet I'm totally handicapped
ah, I thought the airgap restrictions were a bit more lenient and you could get connection while outside and assumed you could use this to bootstrap it
Use what for bootstrapping?
If the profiles are just json files, do you think, at least theoretically, putting them on a usb stick to upload/import into the desktop editor would be feasible?
maybe, I looked a bit more into the files and state is stored in sqlite databases so it likely won't be straightforward
Unfortunately that's also empty
I can try installing the editor on a different computer and try to just dump everything that populates in the profile cloud onto a stick and see what happens. Will return with my findings!
It sounds like you aren't saving.
See where it says My Configs (0)? That means you haven't saved anything yet.
- Press the [ + ] button next to the text input that says "Find..."
- It will then show you prompts to complete the kind of config you are saving. Select VSN1L Module (the leftmost button) and press Next
- Enter a name, press enter
You'll now have a local config you can use and it should show up in your configs and I assume even without a network, but I haven't tested that.
Then to save into an existing config, select it in the configs list, and in the bottom panel use this button:
Just tested without network and it works just fine. That was my bad for not understanding how it worked in the first place.
that's great, yeah, this is what I was talking about - looking at the metadata in the file it prolly has to create it at some point and then use it for upload and to check sync status, not the other way around
