Need some help to improve my LED indication for looping setup based on Ableton live.

I’m trying to make the following:

  1. When ableton is recording - button 2(record) is blinking with bpm sync(or without if not possible) . When recording is stopped - blinking is stopped.
  2. When holding button 1(stop button), after timer elapsed, button 2 is getting white, which means “empty slot”. The same behaviour for 3 and 4

I found it’s really unreliable
to perform live with no led indication so i really hope it’s possible to have this type of behaviour on my bu16!

For 1. you'll need an Ableton remote script to send the event to your device. You could use a custom MIDI CC to send the bpm value on play and on bpm change. Here's a sample script that uses this mechanic to sync track color, you can tinker with it to do what you need: https://github.com/DiegoBoy/Ableton-0xdb-CTRL/blob/main/_0xdb_CTRL/_0xdb_CTRL.py

I'm not following what you need for 2. - you want the LEDs on 2, 3 and 4 to turn white after pressing button 1 (plus timer)? What are "empty slots" in this context?
