miRack midi grid not retriggering

so I set up a patch in MiRack to trigger a CV value manually via the BU16. the problem is I can only trigger it once with the Grid controller. To have the grid controller recognized again I have to trigger the module in the app, then I can hit the BU16 once. but no more. i have wiped midi config over and over in MiRack and resetup different ways but nothing changes. I'm admitedly new to all of the software/hardware midi stuff. i am having to recreate my IRL hardware rig virtually so I can tour easier.

here is a video of the problem. its hosted in AUM in this clip but does the same thing on non-hosted miRack

tried a different module and same thing.

is there a "clear" command the keys need to send after triggering?

A friend was messing with this patch using a Novation Launchkey controller and was able to get consistent triggering when they switched the midi message for the pad to Control Change and set the behavior to Momentary.

How do I do this on the BU16?

Hey,

In the Grid Editor, you can set up how the button behaves. I recommend trying to send a CC message and using a Press Release block — this way, the MIDI message is only triggered once when the button is pressed.

this is the config it needs

so I clear out all the default blocks and add these press and release blocks?

I GOT IT!! thank you!!

i am trying to virtualize the hardware setup I have for my electro-acoustic project ELECTROGONG and its been a slog.

Nice! If you're up for more fun, I recommend trying out the velocity sensitivity mode and pressure sensitivity mode—experiment with them!

If you add a button mode block you can choose of the modes.
