It should be possible, using the timer source action set to MIDI clock.

I had the time to look into it, and unfortunately as it stands Seque can't hold a stable rythm with MIDI syncing from an outside source.

It's not a problem with the configuration, but rather a problem with how Grid handles MIDI data received. Unfortunately received MIDI clock drifts during playing.
