@user yes, Ableton sends back the mapped values to the Grid, so if you map a button to the bypass function, Ableton will always send back the actual value when it changes. You can assign this value to the LED for visual feedback.

To make it clearer: I have midi messages controlling universal audio console via UA midi control, the same messages are mapped on Grid. Goal is, by sending the same messages to grid, to have the led of the right button to react to the status of the actual mapped parameter.
