Hello, the encoder velocity can be set max to 100. Id it possible to increase the value somehow e.g. adding a factor somewhere? I have the feeling when moving the encoders I need a lot of movements to reach the values I want.
Encoders velocity higher than 100?

The encoders maximum velocity is 100, you can't change that. That's a firmware defined maximum, how the fast digit changes between the steps should be translated to acceleration.
There are 2 encoder preset's which I suggest to give a try, as they have interesting control over the smoothness and speed of encoder tweaks:
Absolute Step Smoothing:
grid-editor://?config-link=mMyWLWXvCTZXu2ZhNchQ
Absolute Encoder Smoothing (PID):
grid-editor://?config-link=NtJy9dDw3COhyx3x88g3
You can read their respective descriptions which parameters you can change to get better control over the encoder's reaction. It's best to map the control element to a filter / EQ sweep to see and feel it in action.
If you still find the need to more velocity, a ticket on the grid-fw github repository can be written to look into this firmware side.
Thanks, ill try those presets! 🥳
@user Absolute Step Encoding seems to be exactly what I need. However, I use all encoders in relative mode to avoid jumps because I switch between channels and projects. Is there a way to adapt the preset to a "Relative Step Smoothing"? 🙂
@user can you post here your test for a possible solution with some math functions applied the relative value calculation?
Ok, new info, you can use values 100+. Please check it!
