BU16 Series 2 is a neat button module with long-lasting 4x4 tactile buttons that provide instant access to triggering samples, launching clips, controlling playback, or just simply drumming. Set them to momentary, 2 or 3-step toggle action to enjoy playful experimentation. Can be used with other Grid controllers used as a HID macro controller or for MIDI programming in your creative environment. Equipped with customisable multicolored LED lights to enable labelling in dark environments. Facilitate differentiating each potmeter by changing the color of each indicator LED, adjusting brightness levels individually or adding pulsing animations.

The Grid Editor enables a highly-customizable controlling solution through in-depth programmability in LUA code.

I’m a film and TV composer/producer and I got BU16 to primarily invoke key commands. There is some learning curve to understand the syntax of inputting key strokes in the Grid Editor, but once you get a hang of it, it’s not that troublesome. Once, you have set it up though, it’s amazing. The whole workflow of having a single physical button replacing the need to press complicated keystrokes, it’s amazing! It works really well and has substantially improved my workflow. Last but not the least, love the solid ‘click’ sound the buttons make !

These modules are really great. So flexible in terms of configuration and building your own perfect controller. The software is very deep which is great because you can do almost anything if you want to. But the downside is that setting up seemingly simple things can sometimes feel a bit unintuitive. However, I am glad they opened up the software so much because it’s super powerful !

Yeap! The buttons have a nice feel to them and you can set them up in various ways. To play notes, toggle, one-shot etc. All with configurable LED behavior.
